Similar findings were observed with patients with lung cancer (n = 13) supplemented with 510 mg of EPA+ 340 mg DHA for 9 wk, which resulted in lower plasma concentrations of IL-6 and CRP (P < 0.05 for both) after 9 wk of treatment, compared with the placebo group (850 mg olive oil) [31].
