The current study elucidated a remarkable up regulation in circ-YAP1 and circ-APOE gene and protein expression (Table 4) with a fold change (4.78 & 5.1) respectively and a significant down regulation in circ-SLC8A1 expression with a fold change 0.22 in CKD patients as compared to the healthy subjects, reflecting the vital role of circular RNA in the prognosis, diagnosis and progression of CKD (Fig. 3, Fig. 4, Fig. 5). Here, APOE is linked to chronic kidney disease.
