As shown in Figure 7A, knocking down PBX3 significantly slowed down the growth of the xenografted tumors formed by HCC-LM3 cells, whereas HMGCR overexpression partially reduced this suppressive effect, thus partially restoring the tumor growth rate as well as the size and weight of the tumors (Figure 7B,C).
