Recently, Zhang et al. demonstrated that pexidartinib, a C-Kit and macrophage-colony stimulating factor inhibitor, reduced TAM expression of CCL22, a Treg chemoattractant, in NSCLC cells in vitro; combination therapy with anti-PD-1 therapy synergistically improved survival and reduced tumor weight in a murine model and significantly increased the CD8+/Treg T-cell ratio [101]. The gene discussed is CD8A; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
