CNTN1 and chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy: Although the relationship and pathophysiology between anti-CNTN1 antibodies and CIPD/MN are not understood very well, the presence of anti-CNTN1 antibodies contributes to the pathogenesis of both CIDP and membranous nephropathy through an autoimmune mechanism targeting CNTN1, a neuronal and glomerular protein.
