While we acknowledge that incubation time may differentially impact protein secretion, our approach enabled integrative analysis of transcripts and secreted proteins, which led to the identification of secreted immunoglobulins as potential mediators of ASAT-driven physical and cognitive function impairments and aligned with established literature of classic adipokine secretion of leptin and adiponectin associations with adiposity and other clinical outcomes. This evidence concerns the gene ADIPOQ and X-linked sideroblastic anemia with ataxia.
