Across both the non-diabetes and diabetes networks, the most informative combination of markers predicting the highest MASLD risk included elevated BasalISR, VAT, GUSB, and ALDH1A1, alongside low levels of LPL and IGFBP1, highlighting a coordinated disruption of pathways related to insulin resistance, inflammation, and lipid metabolism. This evidence concerns the gene ALDH1A1 and diabetes mellitus.
