For HPV-associated SNSCC with matched normal DNA the most frequently mutated COSMIC cancer driver genes included KMT2D (4/12 patients, 33%), FGFR3 and KMT2C (3/12 patients, 25%), GOLGA5, TET1, and ARID1B (2/12 patients, 16.7%) (Figs. 2A, and Supplementary Fig. 3A).
