As expected, BMI was positively associated with ischemic heart disease, heart failure, hypertensive heart and/or renal disease, heart attack, diabetes, hypertension, sleep apnea, daytime dozing/sleeping (narcolepsy), apolipoprotein B (ApoB), triglycerides, total testosterone and urinary potassium and sodium, and major surgeries. This evidence concerns the gene APOB and myocardial infarction.
