CRP and Splenomegaly: Based on our findings, we propose that simple investigations, combined with clinical assessments such as a fever duration exceeding four days, a rising trend of fever, coated tongue, splenomegaly, elevated CRP levels (>25 mg/L), elevated SGPT levels (>40 IU/L), and eosinopenia (0%), can serve as strong predictors for the early diagnosis of EF.
