In contrast to the previously reported associated increase in CD57+ CD8 T-cell percentage with granuloma (14, 30) lymphadenopathy (14), and GLILD, (31, 32) in the present study, we found significantly higher proportions of this subset only in patients with splenomegaly, status post-splenectomy, and hepatic disease. This evidence concerns the gene B3GAT1 and liver disorder.
