VTCN1 and neoplasm: Results revealed that: (a) the Triple‐I group had higher sTILs (22.8% vs. 8.9%) and NK cells (11% vs. 5%) when compared to the inflammation‐high ERV‐L1low cluster, respectively; (b) the inflammation‐high ERV‐L1low cluster showed a higher inhibitory Treg cell content than the Triple‐I group (18% vs. 7%), respectively (Fig. 3B,C; CIBERSORT); and (c) the Triple‐I group showed a 15.7‐fold lower expression level of the immune checkpoint gene VTCN1 (also called B7‐H4) when compared to the inflammation‐high ERV‐L1low tumor cluster (Fig. 2D).
