STAT3-hyper IgE syndrome (STAT3-HIES) is a type of PID caused by dominant-negative pathogenic variants in STAT3. Patients with STAT3-HIES typically present with the classic triad of cold abscesses, elevated serum IgE levels, and refractory eczema beginning in the neonatal period (2). This evidence concerns the gene STAT3 and hyper-IgE syndrome.
