GPX4 and infection: Further immunohistochemical staining indicated that the expression levels of both β-catenin and GPX4 were markedly reduced in the myocardium of mice injected with doxorubicin compared to those in the control group, while infection with AAV-β-catenin induced overexpression of β-catenin and restored GPX4 expression suppressed by doxorubicin (Figure 4I).
