Most of these proteins were previously implicated in IBD pathogenesis: EN-RAGE (extracellular newly identified receptor for advanced glycation end products binding protein (S100 A12)) [16], OSM (oncostatin M) [17], TNFSF14 (tumour necrosis factor superfamily member 14 (LIGHT))[18] and RNASE3 (eosinophil cationic protein) [19]. Here, RNASE3 is linked to inflammatory bowel disease.
