A recent meta‐analysis of the four RCTs (486 dialysis‐dependent AF patients, with a median follow‐up of 26 weeks to 1.88 years) demonstrated that when compared to VKAs, Factor Xa inhibitors were associated with a reduced risk of major bleeding (RR = .64, 95% CI = .42–.99, p = .04), but no significant difference in stroke and systemic embolism (RR = .46, 95% CI = .20–1.02, p = .06).102. The gene discussed is F10; the disease is atrial fibrillation.
