Compared with normal lung tissue, the expression of PDLIM2 in lung cancer is downregulated, which is related to the hypermethylation of the PDLIM2 promoter, treatment with DNA methyltransferase inhibitors can reverse the methylation of the PDLIM2 promoter, thereby restoring its expression in lung cancer cells (Sun et al., 2019). This evidence concerns the gene PDLIM2 and lung carcinoma.
