The current study demonstrated a coordinated down-regulation of NPAS2 expression in the mouse model, alongside a reduction in ovarian BMAL1 expression, consistent with the notable decrease of NPAS2 levels in the peripheral blood of PCOS patients reported (26), as well as the diminished expression of BMAL1 in ovarian granulosa cells (46). This evidence concerns the gene NPAS2 and polycystic ovary syndrome.
