As a result, greater insulin sensitivity in obese miR-30afat mice led to concurrent reductions in gross measures of fatty liver disease associated with the HFD (Figure 2J), including decreased hepatic triglyceride (TG) (Figure 2K) and cholesterol (Figure 2L) levels, as well as expression of genes (Figure 2M) associated with fatty acid transport (Slc27a2, Cd36) and fibrosis (Pai-1, Col1a1, Col5a1).
