AKT1 and posterior cortical atrophy: Notably, pharmacological inhibition of Akt phosphorylation resulted in sustained reduction of p-eNOS/eNOS levels and abrogated PCA’s suppressive effects on proinflammatory cytokine production, suggesting that the anti-inflammatory actions of PCA are mediated by the Akt/eNOS signaling pathway (Chook et al., 2023).
