An increasing amount of epidemiologic data, especially from recent cohort studies, have revealed that hepatotoxicity is caused by antineoplastic drugs (5, 6), which include traditional chemotherapeutic agents, tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs), and immunomodulators used for multiple sclerosis and anti-tumor necrosis factor (anti-TNF) drugs (14–22). This evidence concerns the gene TNF and multiple sclerosis.
