In Cox proportional hazard model, the risk of overall fracture was significantly higher in individuals in Groups 2 and 3 compared to Group 1 after adjusting for age, sex, BMI, alcohol/smoking status, income level, presence of HTN, diabetes or thyroid disease, SoS at midshaft tibia, CRP and physical activity (aHR 1.56, 95% CI 1.27–1.93, and aHR 2.27, 95% CI 1.76–2.92, respectively) (Table 2).
