Notably, as the percentage of proliferating T cells was markedly reduced by AD-MSCs from all three culture conditions, the percentage of cells positive for CD25, a marker associated with late T cell activation and, when highly expressed on CD4+T cells, regulatory T cell (Treg) induction [36–40], tended to decrease on both CD4+ and CD8+ T cells in the co-cultures with IFNγ‐treated AD-MSCs, compared to monoculture (Fig. 4C).
