A review described a hypothesis that MCS development may be attributed to the sensitization of transient receptor potential (TRP) receptors (TRPV1 and TRPA1), and sensitization of TRV1 may be involved in the development of functional dyspepsia and irritable bowel syndromes, both of which are frequently comorbid with MCS [7]. Here, TRPV1 is linked to dyspepsia.
