TP53 and cervical cancer: Table 2 demonstrates that, among HPV18-negative individuals, those with the G/C or C/C genotype had a 31% lower risk of cervical cancer compared to the G/G genotype, although this difference did not reach statistical significance. However, among HPV18-positive individuals, using the G/G genotype as the reference (OR = 1), the OR for cervical cancer risk in individuals with the G/C or C/C genotype was 0. This suggests that the p53 genotype may influence cervical cancer risk in the context of HPV18 infection.
