Identified originally as an interaction partner of p120-catenin, Kaiso (aka ZBTB33) belongs to a superfamily of BTB/POZ and Zinc Finger (ZF) domain-containing TFs (hereafter referred to as the ZBTB family) most of which are involved in adult tissue differentiation and cancer [22,29,30]. The gene discussed is CREBZF; the disease is cancer.
