In conclusion, our simplified models—comprising (1) qSOFA score ≥2, (2) age ≥ 65 years, and (3) MDW ≥ 20, with or without the fourth parameter of CRP ≥ 2 mg/dL—provide a straightforward approach and efficient strategy for early infection detection in AMI patients undergoing PCI in the ED. This evidence concerns the gene CRP and infection.
