However, the upregulation of two significantly upregulated common hub genes, CDK1, which is a well-known cyclin-dependent kinase1 and key regulator of the cell cycle, and KIF11, which encodes a motor protein that belongs to the kinesin-like protein family and an important plyer in cell mitosis, has been consistently reported to be associated with cancer cell progression and poor prognosis of several malignant tumors, including CRC [22–24]. This evidence concerns the gene KIF11 and colorectal carcinoma.
