At 21 d.p.i., deletion of both Yap and Taz in myofibroblasts strongly attenuated lung fibrosis and suppressed the expression of key myofibroblast activation and profibrotic genes, including Acta2, Col1a1, Postn, Fn1, Col3a1, and Tgfb1 (Figure 5, E and F). The gene discussed is ACTA2; the disease is pulmonary fibrosis.
