We have shown that CD4+ T cells of CN-fed Rag23−3 mice have the potential to differentiate into Tregs (Fig 2) when they are stimulated and expanded with anti-CD3 and anti-CD28 mAbs, but it was unclear whether the naïve CD4+ T cells in EW-fed Rag23−3 mice with enteropathy also keep their ability to differentiate into Tregs. Here, CD28 is linked to Abnormal intestine morphology.
