Ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) has been shown to regulate the protein kinase B/mammalian target of rapamycin/sterol regulatory element-binding protein-1 (AKT/mTOR/SREBP-1) signaling pathway, reducing lipid accumulation in MASLD cell models induced by oleic acid (Chen et al., 2018). This evidence concerns the gene SREBF1 and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
