As presented in Online Resource 1(Table 2), TSH, hs-CRP, IL-2, IL-6, TNF-α, Th1, and Th1/Th2 levels in the hypothyroidism group were significantly higher than those in the normal group, while FT4 and Th2 levels were lower than those in the normal group; the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (p < 0.05), while that between the two groups in terms of IL-10 was not. This evidence concerns the gene TNF and hypothyroidism.
