Of the 24 selected proteins, eight (CA4, ITIH5, FABP4, DPP4, CRABP1, HMGA2, TIMP1, ECM1) are known to be associated with follicular thyroid tumors, ten (MATN2, AHSG, CD36, STMN1, NPC2, IGF2BP2, P4HA2, LRP2, IGSF1, RAP1GAP) are related to other types of thyroid cancer, and the remaining six (CPOX, MYEF2, STEAP4, H1-5, FRAS1, TANC2) are newly discovered and have not been previously reported. The gene discussed is P4HA2; the disease is thyroid cancer.
