IFNL1 and swine influenza: Additionally, our study explored the potential association between genetic polymorphisms of IFNL genes with H1N1 infection and indicated that rs12979860 TT and rs8099917 GG may be the unfavorable genotypes for host in response to H1N1 virus infection, with increased viral replication, reduced viral clearance, reduced response to IL-29 therapy, and increased disease severity.
