CD4 and infection: This finding is further confirmation of the fact that immunological deficiency is a risk factor for the development of both AIDS and non‐AIDS related events and in particular neoplasms; in a recent cohort study in Ontario, from 1997 to 2020, among 4771 PWH, low baseline CD4 (<200 cells/mm3), nadir below 200 cells/mm3, low time‐updated CD4, and time‐updated CD4:CD8 ratio were associated with an increased rate of infection‐related cancers.36
