The LRRK2 kinase activity-dependent interaction between Rab10 and RILPL1, in particular, has provided insight into novel roles of LRRK2 as a regulator of ciliogenesis [42,88,89] and centrosomal cohesion [90–92], with the latter being further developed as a PD biomarker. This evidence concerns the gene RAB10 and Parkinson disease.
