In contrast, multiple monocyte-macrophage subgroups, including classical monocytes (Mo_01_CD14), non-classical monocytes (Mono_like_03_CD14 CD16), M2-type macrophages (Macrophages_M2_quantiseq), and several neutrophil subgroups (Neu_04_TXNIP, Neu_03_ISG15, Neu_02_S100A12) all exhibited significant negative correlations (Fig 9C), highlighting the complex regulatory role of myeloid immune cells in AML prognosis. The gene discussed is TXNIP; the disease is acute myeloid leukemia.
