Compared to participants who did not receive the HPV vaccine, those who were vaccinated with the HPV vaccine were more likely to be younger (median age 22), have a high school education or higher, be unmarried, have normal blood pressure and lipid levels, a BMI within the normal range (25–30 kg/m2), no diabetes, be non-smokers, have low income, test negative for TPO antibodies, and be free from HPV infection. Here, TPO is linked to diabetes mellitus.
