CRP and coinfection: Mortality in the following 90 days after COVID-19 hospitalisation was associated with male sex; a Charlson comorbidity index > 5; elevated CRP (>100 mg/dL); D-dimers (>1000 mg/L); NLR > 5; and the presence of comorbidities such as dementia, chronic heart disease, and co-infection with Clostridioides difficile.
