APP and Alzheimer disease: The administration of polysaccharides from G. frondosa (10 mg/kg BW/mouse/day) for 3 months, from Pleurotus ostreatus (400 mg/kg BW/mouse/day) for 8 weeks, and from Armillaria mellea (100 mg/kg BW/mouse/day) for 4 weeks reduced Aβ accumulation in APP/PS1 and AlCl3 and D-galactose-induced mouse models of AD [56,57,58].
