The present systematic review highlighted that a toothpaste with an enzymatic technology (amyloglucosidase, glucose oxidase, and lactoperoxidase) and salivary proteins (lysozyme and lactoferrin) could be useful and effective in preventing gingivitis and in managing gingival inflammation, both in the short and long term, thanks to the proved reduction in the Modified Gingival Index (MGI), Bleeding Index (BI), Plaque Index (PI). Here, LTF is linked to gingivitis.
