PTH and hypercalcemia disease: A 56-year-old gentleman was referred to our tertiary-care hospital (Azienda Ospedale Università di Padova, Padua, Italy) for a sudden and unexplained increase in serum creatinine (sCr) levels from 261 umol/L to 304 umol/L, which occurred over the course of one month and was associated with pancytopenia, hypercalcemia (2.71 mmol/L), and suppressed PTH (<4 pg/mL).
