The absence of the lncRNA Semaphorin 3B (SEMA3B) antisense RNA 1 (SEMA3B-AS1) causes nucleocytoplasmic shuttling of HMGB1 for release into the extracellular space, increasing the production of cytokines IL-6 and IL-8, which are involved in promoting the proliferation, angiogenesis, invasion, and metastasis of gastric cancer [59].
