SETD2 and neoplasm: Methylation of this residue is associated with active chromatin and epigenetic modifications [71,81] Additionally, SETD2 is a tumor suppressor because loss of its function favors cancer progression and chemotherapy resistance by activation of Wnt/β-catenin and ERK pathways [81,82], and its up-regulation has been related with a better prognosis of breast cancer patients [82,83].
