Compared with the levels in the DMSO-treated controls, we detected lower levels of c-Myc expression in the cells treated with CS&Z (Figure 5), thereby indicating that, in the presence of cycloheximide, CS&Z attenuates the stability of c-Myc in colorectal cancer cells, as evidenced by the reduction in the half-life of this oncogene. This evidence concerns the gene MYC and colorectal cancer.
