In SLE (Figure 3b), fewer correlations were identified, and were mostly negative, including correlations between ether phospholipids (PE O-42:5, PC O-34:3, and PC O-34:2), sphingolipids (SM 30:1;O2, SHexCer 42:1;O3), and cholesterol derivatives with pro-inflammatory cytokines like IFNα, IFNγ, TNFα, IL-12p70, CX3CL1, and GM-CSF. The gene discussed is TNF; the disease is systemic lupus erythematosus.
