In a study published in 2017, the transcriptome dataset of 377 patients (data obtained from the Cancer Genome Atlas) was analyzed, and the expression levels of the Nek4, Rnf34, Hist3h2bb, Nudt6, Lrch4, Glb1l, Hist2h4a, Tmem79, Amıgo2, C20orf135, and Spsb3 genes were found to be significantly different between cancer stages (p = 0.0001) [6]. Here, H2BC26 is linked to cancer.
