Furthermore, we unraveled the biological function of the TCNEs with active enhancer features and showed that these TCNEs were significantly associated with principal pathways involved in the initiation, invasion, and migration of breast cancer, such as the Notch signaling pathway, Pathways in cancer, TGF-beta signaling pathway, Wnt signaling pathway, MAPK signaling pathway, Hedgehog signaling pathway, and ErbB signaling pathway (Figure 3D). This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and breast carcinoma.
