In contrast, the placebo-treated glaucoma group (Bead + P) showed a significant decrease in Brn3a-positive RGCs (central 86.4 ± 2.0 cells/500 μm2; PBS + P: p < 0.001, PBS + H: p < 0.001; and peripheric 57.58 ± 2.43 cells/500 μm2; PBS + P: p < 0.001, PBS + H: p < 0.001) compared to the controls (Figure 2B,C).
