Nrf2 is a modulator of proteostasis and has been implicated in Parkinson’s disease [47,48] and other neurodegenerative diseases [49] such as Alzheimer’s disease [50,51], Huntington’s disease [52,53], ALS [54,55], and ataxia [56,57]. This evidence concerns the gene NFE2L2 and early-onset autosomal dominant Alzheimer disease.
